Track-Tor!

We went to the Zoo this afternoon. Owen's favorite parts were the tractor ("TRACK-TOOOOR!" "Dada!" "Dada Track-TOR!"), the automatic door opening buttons, and the train ("CHOO! CHOO!"). Although he did like the animals quite a bit as well!

Owen Update

Owen is 17 months old! He is quite the handful. He is often mistaken for a 2-year-old and even has been spending some days in the 2-year-old classroom at school. His only baby-hold-out is the bottle. He still LOVES the bottle. He will drink any other liquid like a pro from a regular cup or a sippy cup, but milk MUST come from a bottle.

He helps his Elmo doll go to bed by laying him down, putting a blanket on him and rubbing his back. He loves music, to dance, to sing, to read books, to chase and be chased. We got a bike seat for my bike and he LOVES to go for bike rides, but hates his helmet. He loves to play in any water and at any playground. He loves his friends Annika, Chase, Evan and Alaina (his main clique). He can say all of their names and gives them hugs and kisses.

He LOVES 'things that go'; trains (CHOO CHOO!), buses, cars, planes! He loves dirt - to touch it, throw it, taste it. He loves rocks. He's such a boy.

He likes to identify ownership by saying "mama coffee" and "dada hat." Although luckily he hasn't learned "mine" yet. His real two-word sentences all begin with 'bye', i.e. "bye school!" and "bye bye bus." He will ask to go "home," asks for "help" and knows to say "please" when he wants something.

He can identify the Starbucks logo and certain people's cars. He is mastering his shape sorter. For some reason he says "dada" whenever he sees a tractor. He thinks it is HILARIOUS when we hurt ourselves.

He can't wait to see Aunt Stephanie this week. :-)
