It was no Panda Express, but the "chicken and rice" was still good.

Owen & Daddy's Vacation - Day 4

Day 4 was beach day and the weather was perfect for it, high 70's, sunny and no wind. We had a great time building sand castles (Daddy), jumping on sandcastles (Owen) and playing in the water (both of us). We should have just stayed the night it was so nice if we could have. Big day coming up with the Ringling Bros Circus next, hopefully Owen likes it!

Owen & Daddy's Vacation - Day 3

Our first weekday off outing of our vacation was the zoo today, which was fun as always not too crowded and we were able to check out the new Predator's of the Serengeti exhibit. We came home and Owen helped make a big dinner tonight and then showed off all his stunt moves. The weather looks just right for a beach trip for tomorrow.

Owen & Daddy's Vacation - Day 2

Day 2 was similar to day 1 but with pictures. We have just about finished off the playground and Owen enjoyed using it today, his favorite thing was to roll objects down the slide for some reason. Went out to lunch at Owen's favorite, Panda Express and got a new Play Doh kit which Owen enjoys quite a bit. We also did a lot of playing out side with riding bikes, scooters and shooting hoops. Our neighbor friends also had us over for cookies and games before bed. Another good vacation day, with plans for the zoo tomorrow.

The near finished product, just a little fine tuning left but a substantially completed play area. Or as Owen says, 'where did the fountain go?'

Owen & Daddy's Vacation - Day 1

Sorry no pictures from our kick off vacation day but we had a nice start to our week off of staying home and relaxing. Not too much exciting today but we did:

• Almost finish Owen's new backyard play area, Owen is a good helper moving and dumping wood chips. Hopefully we will have pictures of the finished product tomorrow.
• Made it to the pool for maybe the last time of the summer as it closes tomorrow for the year, we might go back tomorrow if the weather is nice again though. It is just about time for the next round of swim lessons for Owen, probably this fall.
• Start the theme for our week of sleeping in and long naps.
• May have watched a little college football.
