Santa is Scary!

Owen visited Santa today in Beaverton and ... well, he wasn't a fan ... this year. The lady taking pictures did get one without tears and I gave in and paid the $17 for the shot (yes, $17 for one 5x7).

Seattle-Ready

Here are some pictures of Owen in his flannel shirt. Ready to take on Seattle and rock out to some Pearl Jam ... or maybe just go camping! All he needs to complete the outfit are a pair of Birkenstocks to wear with socks! :)

I'm still a messy eater but at least mom gave up on even trying to keep a bib on me! I can rip that thing off faster than she can say "sweet potatoes."

These are so tiny! How am I supposed to grab them?

Got one! Now let's see if I can get it into my mouth...

Sometimes I get one down the hatch and I make an icky, sour face. But I always go back for more!

An Owen Update

Owen is now over 8 months old and getting so big! He now weighs 18 lbs, 5 ounces -- exactly 11 pounds more than the day he was born! He is still working on figuring out how to crawl. He gets himself in the crawling position and then becomes rather frustrated because he can't figure out what to do next. He LOVES to stand and walk with help. He now says 'mama' and 'dada' and 'baba' (and other combinations of 'ma' 'da' and 'ba'.)

Grandma and Grandpa Johnson visited this weekend (pictures below). They babysat on Saturday night while we went to a party. Owen cried when we left but apparently got over it pretty quickly and was a good boy!

8 Months Old!

Owen is 8 Months old today! It's hard to believe how big he is getting! He has invented a new crawl that I like to call the "Owen Crawl." He gets from point A to point B in his own little way. And just to keep us on his toes he's now pulling himself up on anything and everything that is the proper height! He also knows that grabbing an adults hands will allow him to pull himself up so he does this to us all the time and even did it to a stranger yesterday at the library!
