2 Months, 3 Weeks Old

Must ... Roll ... Over!

Owen's first roll-over on Wednesday was not a fluke. He is now a full-fledged rolling-over machine. He only rolls over from his back to his tummy at this point but tummy-to-back is supposed to be even easier to master, so I'm sure that is coming soon.

He is completely consumed now by a need to roll over every time he is on his back! I did capture some video of him rolling over which I will try to post shortly. But for now here are some pictures:

A Big Day

Owen is 11 weeks old today. Last night I finally got around to digging through the enormous mound of clothes Owen has that I previously determined to be too big. He seriously could wear a different outfit 4 times per day every day for the next month without repeat! I pulled out some stuff that should now fit including jeans! I had Travis put a pair on him this morning and told Owen he was all grown up now!

Then the first thing he did this morning when I set him on his back under his baby gym was roll over to his stomach! We thought he kinda rolled over before but there is no doubt about it today! I guess he believed me when I told him he was all grown up! I have a feeling it might be a little while though before he does it again.

2.5 Months Old

Owen is now about 2.5 months old! He is doing very well but continues to be a little on the high maintenance side. Oh well! Good thing he’s so cute!

He still just really enjoys looking at everyday objects and couldn’t care less for his toys. He really enjoys being carried but insists the carrier move about so he can get a good look at many different things. When he gets cranky he enjoys large bouncing movements so I find myself often doing squats and even jogging around with him.

He’s started really enjoying sucking on his hands … or other objects if they happen to be in the way. He smiles and coos often … especially when getting his diaper changed! Weird-o! He finally now enjoys bath time … or at least doesn’t cry through it anymore.

He hasn’t been very accurately weighed but is roughly just over 11 lbs now. In other words, he still is wearing “newborn” sized clothes along with his 0-3 month lot. Well, except he wears 6-12 month socks. This boy has some big feet!

First Camping Trip

Ok, not really. We're not that crazy! But we went to visit my family at Champoeg State Park for the day. He was a pretty happy baby and enjoyed staring at all of the new scenery in the park.

Weekend Fun ... and Sleep

9 Weeks

Slideshow of today's pictures. Owen is just over 9 weeks old. People seem to think he is younger than he really is because he's pretty small! We met a lady today who didn't believe he was really two months old. Her daughter just had a baby who weighed 10 lbs 8 ounces at birth! About the same size Owen is now!

Owen sleeping yesterday after his shots. He stayed curled up like that all day yesterday and was extremly sad. He developed a low fever but is much happier today!

A very rare smile today during tummy time. Tummy time is not his favorite time.
