2 Months Old

Owen is two months old today! It seems like just yesterday that he was fresh from the hospital – a teeny tiny pumpkin-colored baby. (Owen is only 1.5 week old in the picture to the right.)

He had his two month check-up today. He has remained in the 25th percentile for weight, weighing in at a lean 10 lbs, 10 ounces. He has also remained in the 25th percentile for head circumference and risen to the 60th percentile for height.

He also had to get four immunization shots. I was really scared for him but he was a trooper. He cried, of course, but stopped as soon as I picked him up. Now he's pretty sleepy and a bit whiny.

Watching Tennis

Owen ventured out into the sun today to watch his dad and Aunt play some tennis!

Quick Update

Owen is doing well. He met his Aunt Stephanie and is having fun hanging out with her. She babysat him briefly while I saw the doctor. I've started sticking toys in Owen's hands. I am much more amused by it than he is. He'll be two months old on Monday!

More 7-Weeks-Old Owen

7 Weeks Old

Owen is 7 weeks and 1 day old today. He is looking forward to meeting his great-grandma Eunice and great-aunt Jeanne who will be visiting this Memorial Day weekend. He will also finally get to meet his other Aunt, Stephanie the following weekend and get to spend some more time with Grandma and Grandpa Irving.

6 Weeks Old

Owen is 6 weeks old today. He has more and more happy and alert periods. He likes to spend his time staring intently at things that catch his eye. He particularly likes our large picture of New York. He likes to go for walks in his stroller everyday.

5 Weeks Old

Believe it or not ... Owen is 5 weeks old today! They grow up so fast! ;)

4 weeks!

Owen is 4 weeks old today. He’s up to roughly 8 and a half pounds now and is doing really well. He is more alert for longer periods now. He’ll spend time gazing at people’s faces or watching the mobile on his swing. He can track objects with his eyes and turns his head from side to side. He’ll generally stop what he’s doing and listen intently to my voice when I talk to him. He appears to prefer Mozart to John Mayer.
